The CN3 grant period ended on September 30, 2003. Since this time, the ACCN has financially sustained the network by charging a “per terminal” fee for computers connected to the network that are not designated for public access. All entities that are members of the ACCN contribute to this sustainability effort. The purpose of the sustainability fund is to pay for necessary bandwidth, repairs and replacement of equipment as needed. |
